The Best Eco Friendly Gifts You Can Get This Year [2026]
Ahem, Meriem Webster defines “eco-friend·ly as “not environmentally harmful”” and was first introduced into the lexicon not too long ago in 1989. In the present day many have taken it upon themselves to save our ever-burning planet by looking for alternative sustainable and "eco-friendly" methods to every-day actions, like gift-giving!
Now that we got that very middle school coded topic sentence sent off, (see we too are being eco-friendly using writing techniques from years past), we should get into why we’re here and that’s to craft a list of the best eco-friendly gifts out there. Many brands, not all, but many, have taken it upon themselves to invest in products to help the environment and we’re going to take a look at them and recommend the ones that both fit the bill and are generally just good gifts.
Let’s (Not) Get Physical, But Instead Gift an Experience 🪂
A lot of people in eco-friendly and sustainability forums will recommend when gift-shopping to go for an experience over a physical “item” gift and in this instance when looking for the best, we’d have to agree. Here are a few ideas we love:
Tickets to a Museum
Bring your pals Sacagawea, Teddy, Larry, Ahkmenrah, and Attila with you on the adventure of a lifetime. Image courtesy of: Into Film (Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb © 20TH CENTURY FOX ALL RIGHTS RESERVED).
There are so many cool and interesting places you can go when you expand your horizons and one of those cool and interesting places is the museum. Many cities will have their fair share of museums to explore, and of course if you live close to one of the big ones like the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, The Getty, the National Gallery of Art, the Field Museum, and/or The Metropolitan Museum of Art, it’s more than worth the look.
Amongst those and many others, getting them a ticket or two so they can experience the wonder of those places that hold some of the biggest moments in history is something they’re unlikely to forget. It’s definitely a great way to spend a day or two, and they would get to do it with some of their favorite people which is a win-win in our book.
Entrance Pass to U.S. National Parks
Take a road trip or finally head to the park that’s been near you this whole time. Image courtesy of: Everything Everywhere.
We can get stuck in our mundane routines more often than we’d like to admit, and by the time we realize it our stress o’ meters are through the roof. What we now need is a break from the constant scrolling and idiosyncrasies and the best way to do that is to go to a park; specifically a National Park. There are 63 National Parks in the United States which means there might be one near you or within a road-trips distance of you.
There are Entrance Passes for National Parks you can gift to your friends:
Best for A Vacation: Standard Pass
- For one national park
- For 1–7 days
- Directly funds the park
Best for Stationary Consistent Visitors: Annual Pass
- For one national park or park group
- For 1 year
- Directly funds the park
- Not available for every park
Best for Week-to-Monthly Visitors: America the Beautiful—the National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass
- Covers entrance fees and standard amenity fees (day-use fees) at Federal recreational sites, including national parks
- 1 year and lifetime options
Note: prices are unfortunately increasing in 2026, due to the current administration and more info is being released at the time of writing, check your reputable news cycles for further information so you know what passes you’ll need for your future trips and how much they will be.
A Gift to the Spa
Take a step back and relaaaaxxxxxx. Image courtesy of: Sensibilities Day Spa.
Speaking of getting away from the day-to-day, this next gift is great for those who find themselves constantly trying to work the kinks out of their necks and backs from sitting in their office chairs all day. Or for those who are always on their feet and need a much needed all-body massage.
Yes of course we’re talking about getting yours truly a professional spa day. Spa days are often overlooked as gifts and you normally only go to them when you’re on vacation. But when you need them most, (on a free weekend in the middle of a busy work cycle), they aren’t there. Look to your local spas and get a gift voucher for your friend and/or family member, they will be utterly delighted.
Tickets to a Concert
We’re HOT TO GO! to our favorite concerts. Image courtesy of: billboard.
Concerts are an experience like none other and it makes sense that we end this section with our favorite choice for a gift. Listening to your favorite artists live with the energy of the crowd backing you up? Can’t be beat. Sure you might be able to get better acoustics with your headphones alone in your room, but the energy of seeing them in person and hearing their slight variations to their tracklists? Count us in.
Concerts are in right now and getting tickets to your faves can be difficult, that’s why we wanted to do something special for our friend that’s eco-friendly and fun. Use sites like Ticketmaster, Live Nation, AXS and Vivid Seats or go to the artist's website directly to secure a spot at their next show. Think how surprised they’ll be when they get to go and listen to their Spotify top 5 in person?
Consumables That Won’t Go to Waste 🍹
Here at PerfectGift we’ve made it quite clear how we feel about consumables as a gift…
We love it!
Well, we love it when you get good consumables. No more fruit baskets or things that’ll end up in the garbage disposal. No, we love consumable gifts that are loved directly by the gift recipient. You know them best so you go ahead and get them whatever foods, treats, or drinks they love. But if you need some ideas, here’s two:
Fair Trade and Ethically Sourced Coffee
Good coffee that’s good for everyone. Image courtesy of: Khomanta.
Did you know “two-thirds of American adults drink coffee each day (66%)”? This means that there’s a really good chance the person you’re shopping for drinks or knows someone in their immediate family that drinks coffee. We’ve searched far and wide for a business that is ethical, eco-friendly, and makes coffee that you won’t get enough of; and that company is Khomanta.
Khomanta, Relationship Coffee, supplies ethically sourced coffee that gives back to those who make it. In fact, “30% of all profits from each coffee label goes directly to the producer who grew it and their community.” When you buy with Khomanta, you’re giving back in ways that’ll help many others. They have a line of coffee to choose from ranging from $14.40 to $18.00 depending on the bag you get.

Grow 100% certified organic herbs inside your home through the kit’s compostable peat pots and rich potting soil discs.
