Perfect Gift is a legitimate business
PerfectGift.com is a Pittsburgh-based startup owned by The Wolfe Companies, LLC. Wolfe has been selling gift cards, reward cards, and incentives online since 1999 and we are the founders of GiftCards.com, as well as GiftYa and GiftCardGranny – selling billions of dollars worth of gift cards in the past 25 years. This website culminates our efforts to provide a more perfect gift to you, your recipients and clients. We are committed to purposeful gifting, that is fast, customized, innovative and more impactful.
In Fall of 2020, we held the grand opening of our 20,000 sq ft fulfillment center, one of the only secure print-on-demand facilities in the country. We are expanding to add a robotic manufacturing facility in 2026.
We partner with Visa and Mastercard to offer customized gift cards, reward cards, and thousands of retail gift cards.
Why am I finding negative reviews of Perfect Gift?
We always appreciate honest feedback about Perfect Gift and encourage our customers to reach out to us with any problems they may encounter when purchasing gift cards online. However, we feel it’s important to address some of the main concerns we hear from our customers with complete transparency.
"MY ORDER WAS CANCELLED & I WAS ASKED TO PROVIDE MY DRIVERS LICENSE. THIS IS A SCAM!”
Due to the high rate of fraud in the gift card industry along with federal regulations, we take the security of our clients very seriously. To protect our customers, our Security & Compliance department had fraud-detection tools in place with very strict guidelines that sometimes canceled orders until customers provided further proof of identity. Our Client Care team would then reach to those customers and ask for an image of their Driver’s License or state-issued ID to verify that their name and address match the billing address provided on the attempted order. Customers were informed they could block out any other information they did not wish to share, and our Client Care team kept no records of the Drivers License once verification was complete.
We listened to our customers and understand their concern with orders being cancelled and that they aren’t comfortable sharing personal information to verify their identity. We are proud to say that we have launched enhanced security measures and a more intelligent system to enable a seamless user experience.
“I COULDN’T GET AHOLD OF ANYONE ON THE PHONE”
Up until 2017, Perfect Gift was a small team with less than 20 people. At that time, Perfect Gift was an aggregator of secondary gift cards, meaning we didn't actually hold any inventory or sell any gift cards. We simply provided a way to connect buyers and sellers of used gift cards. Our Customer Service team was very small until we decided as a company to change our business model to sell gift cards directly, and leave the secondary gift card market. We grew extremely fast, and as a result of that we had to rely on third-party call centers to take calls from customers while we hired internal Customer Service Representatives. This decision to rely on a third-party unfortunately led to some missed calls and unhappy customers.
We value our customers and are proud to now have a team of 10 full-time Customer Service Representatives, and we no longer use a third-party call center. Our team provides 24 hour coverage, fast response times, and friendly people on the line ready and willing to answer any question you may have.
“MY CUSTOM VISA OR MASTERCARD IMAGE WAS NOT APPROVED”
We partner with Visa and Mastercard to offer custom gift cards with photos uploaded by the user. Each photo is reviewed by a member of our team for strict adherence to image guidelines provided by Visa and Mastercard. Unfortunately any uploaded images that contain one or more of the prohibited guidelines has to be rejected.
“MY VIRTUAL EGIFT CARD WAS NOT DELIVERED TO MY RECIPIENT”
There are many reasons recipients may not have received their virtual eGift card. The most common reason is that it was delivered to the recipient’s spam or junk folder. Another common reason is if your recipient’s email address is a business email, their domain could be blocking the message. Additionally, the email address entered for the recipient could be invalid. At any time, please feel free to reach out to us to look into the delivery of your gift and update the recipient email if needed.
The majority of virtual eGift cards are sent within 15 minutes, but some orders may be pending for up to 4 hours for review. We apologize for the delivery delay, but for the security of all clients some orders receive a manual review prior to completion.
“MY PLASTIC GIFT CARD WAS NOT DELIVERED TO MY RECIPIENT”
We provide a variety of shipping options for our physical Visa and Mastercard gift cards. Although our gift cards are often printed and shipped next-business day, FedEx shipping typically arrives within 2-3 business days, USPS typically takes 10 business days. Merchant gift cards are shipped USPS Priority customers are provided with a a tracking number.
Please note that during the holiday season, these shipping speeds may be affected.
After the delivery window has surpassed and the recipient still has not received their card, we would be more than happy to issue a replacement card free of charge or a refund on the order.
