We’re Finding the Best Gifts for a 4 Year Old Girl in the Year 2025

We’re Finding the Best Gifts for a 4 Year Old Girl in the Year 2025

It didn’t feel like too long ago you were holding your little one in your arms, rocking them to sleep, basking in that newborn glow. Now though your little girl is four years old, and are starting to really learn the world around them, not just take it in through their own two eyes and soft touches.

They’re starting to really explore and put questions to pretty much every single thing they see. It’s only right now that you, as their parent, godparent, grandparent, and/or family member, wants to get them a gift that reflects their ever-growing interests.

But finding the right gifts can be tricky, especially since you’re, you know, shopping for a four year old. Luckily we’ve done some research and have come up with a list of the best gifts for a 4 year old girl. So whether you’re prepping for her birthday, the holidays, or “just because” you’ll soon be her new favorite person with any of these fine gifts.

Let’s Get Creative And Learn🖍️

At four years old we’ve officially exited those toddler years and have now transitioned to what we’ve labeled as “preschooler” years. This means their minds are a creative whirlwind of all kinds of fun ideas. We thought we’d start off the list with some gifts reflecting that creative spirit:

Peter Pauper Press is a company that specializes in creating and selling books, journals, arts, crafts, and accessories at prices affordable to almost everyone. They have a huge catalog that includes its fair share of kids stuff like their “Young Artist Series” which includes the Learn To Draw . . . Animals! book for only $5.99. With 45 animals to draw, she can begin her learning journey with this as it explains simple steps she can follow with ease.

There are so many toys nowadays that are geared (see what we did there?) towards learning hard “adult” skills early on in uncomplicated ways. This is one said toy from Lakeshore Learning. Introducing the Turn & Learn Magnetic Gears on sale for $14.99 (normally priced at $29.99). The challenge for her young mind is to connect all of the gears in a way that gets them all moving at the same time. And through this she will be learning the basics of how machinery works. These gears are great because they are magnetic so they can stick onto your fridge where she can sit trying to create her own working machine in the exact pattern(s) she wants.

We know that kids can go through a lot of paper at four, especially when their canvas might be limited to simple copy paper. Think how artists work with canvases and easels and imagine that for your four year old. With the MÅLA Easel, softwood for $24.99 at Ikea, she can open her creative landscape and create even bigger pictures daily. With this canvas you can choose to have it as a blackboard, a whiteboard or add MÅLA drawing paper so she can keep her drawings around permanently. The easel folds flat for easy storage and is stable for any accidental bumps.

 MAGNA-TILES Combo microMAGS 62pc

Create castles and creatures all with the power of magnets! Image courtesy of: Target.

If you are a parent, grandparent, or family member of those with young kids then you probably already know about Magna-Tiles. They are super popular right now and many rave about how they are the perfect toy for kids at any age. But if you are unfamiliar let us set you up:

These are Magna-Tiles which are snap-together magnetic tiles that come in a variety of shapes where kids can make and create designs, buildings, and creatures all from their imagination. You’ll be surprised how much mileage these things can get, we have some parents reporting that they got these when their kid was four and even at nine they are still playing with them. There are a lot of sets out there but here we have the MAGNA-TILES Combo microMAGS 62pc for $49.99 at Target. A great set, big but not too big, to get her started in her Magna-Tile journey.

Gifts For Hours Of Fun 🎉

These new few gifts really are just perfect. They are fun and offer unlimited entertainment. We can’t say too much more about them without getting into it so let’s just get started.

Monobeach Princess Tent

This is literally any kid’s dream come to life. Image courtesy of: Amazon.

Remember creating pillow and blanket forts as a kid? Remember how fun that was? There was nothing quite like making a little space that was all yours to read, draw, write, and play. What if we had something that was like those pillow and blanket forts but was even better? This is the Monobeach Princess Tent which is on sale for $35.99 (normally priced at $49.99) at Amazon. Just from the picture it looks incredible and we’re sure it would make a wonderful addition to her room, a place where she can be herself and relax. It’s 55” by 53” and comes with instructions, poles, connectors, and star lights.
Star Diner Restaurant Play Set for kid

Playtime is even better now with this kitchen set. Image courtesy of: Melissa & Doug.

Playing "restaurant" as a kid was always a good time, especially when we had the fake food with us as a treat. Of course imagination can get us pretty far, but actually having a food and drink set? Unbeatable. Melissa & Doug have created a Star Diner Restaurant Play Set for $41.99 which comes with:

  • Seven wooden “food” pieces with different foods on either side, as well as coffee and milkshake inserts

  • A frying pan, spatula, coffee pot, plate, fork, knife, spoon, milkshake cup, reusable straw, and mug

  • A fabric napkin, an apron with pockets, a working bell, a menu, a guest check, a dry-erase marker, and play money

Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Ultimate Ice Cream Truck Playset

Classic fun four hours of enjoyment! Image courtesy of: Hasbro.

We absolutely love Play-Doh, it’s a sensory experience that’s more than worth the cost, especially when it comes in a package like this. From Hasbro you can be the coolest parent in the world when you get her the Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Ultimate Ice Cream Truck Playset for $94.99. It comes with so much stuff and for under one-hundred bucks we say that’s a pretty cool steal.

In the box she will get 27 tools including cones, dishes, sculpting tools to shape her ice cream just the way customers want it, twelve colors of Play-Doh, as well as the truck itself that she can move around to take orders. The truck makes realistic “ice cream truck” sounds and has a serving area, built-in soft serve machine at the top, and sprinkle maker as well as a bunch of other cool accessories and add-ons. Plus when it’s time for clean up parents can put away everything in the working-door attachments that have locking bins. It’s the perfect play-time gift for any four year old girl.

While you get work done outside, so can she! Image courtesy of: Amazon.

Imagine the chance to mix and match over over 100 flower pieces to create your own colorful garden that never wilts. With the Scientou Flower Garden Building Toys on Amazon on sale for $24.99 (normally priced at $41.99) she can do exactly that. Since it’s the summer there’s ample opportunity to play outside and what goes outside better than flowers? But these flowers she can build and create on her own. This set comes with exactly 130 flower pieces, a carrying case, and a mini watering pot for accuracy because you can’t grow flowers without water!

Technology is a big part of our lives and kids now notice this as we have cellphones in our pockets, big screen televisions, and more. They of course will want to take part, but we don’t want to give essentially a super computer to a kid at that age. That’s why Kidamento has created a digital camera kid-friendly for ages 3 to 9. This is Meowie the Cat Kids’ Digital Camera for $79.99 which has a large HD touchscreen where they can navigate the interface easily all while taking pictures through their own two eyes. This is great because you can see memories they are capturing themselves through their lens, how unique is that? It can also take videos as well as photos so it’s a perfect camera to get her introduced into the world of tech.

A Gift For The Parent For The 4 Year Old 🎁

Obviously handing a gift card over to a four year old is a funny mental image, they might understand the concept but using it themselves would be a bit tricky 😆. This is where instead of giving her the gift, we hand over the gift to the parent/guardian of the kid so they can use it for them. And we have one that’s been an absolute hit in previous posts:

A Build-A-Bear Workshop Gift Card

A Build-A-Bear Workshop Gift Card

Remember as kids when we’d walk past a Build-A-Bear store and see inside all those cuddly toys not being able to go in and being heartbroken?

Yea, we do too.

That’s why we’re going to give this four year old girl the experience we didn’t get. With this Build-A-Bear gift card she can go in and create the furry companion she’ll hold in her bed for years to come. Have them go through their many accessories and clothing items to pick out for their new friend, then go home with a very happy kid and a wallet that isn’t as empty thanks to this gift card. We know how expensive Build-A-Bear can be, so with this gift they can let their creative-streak fly free.
